FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions) Q: When is camp? A: Camp is August 3-9, 2008
Q: How do I register for camp? A: Camp registration forms will be sent out in December. Return it as quickly as possible with your deposit to the address on the form. There will be no time to waste this year. You will then be mailed a health form and acceptance information. Your balance due and signed health form (by a doctor and parent) will be due on July 1. Go to the Registration Proceedure page for details.
Q: How much does camp cost? A: $290. (What a great investment value!)
Q: How old do I have to be to go to camp? A: Ages 10-18 are qualified. Also if you are a graduating H.S. senior in 2008 you qualify.
Q: Who gets in to camp first? A: Previous campers and RMFFC booster club member’s children will have priority, but after February 15 it is a first mailed back- first registered basis.
Q: When are forms due? A: Previous camper’s who want a sure thing need to mail their forms in by February 15. After that all camp form are considered on an equal basis by date received. All forms have a deadline of May 15. Thereafter, add another $25.00 to the registration fee. It's best to register NOW in order to have a chance of getting into camp.
Q: What if I can’t afford to go to camp? A: Get busy and creative! We have a lot of fundraising possibilities. The information is in this very newsletter. It can be done. Click the Fundraisers link. RMFFC is not offering any sponsorships at this time, however these fundraisers should give every child the opportunity to attend camp.
Q: What if I don’t have a ride to camp? A: Transportation is the responsibility of the camper family. Carpools are a fun way to get to camp. Please arrange this well in advance to camp. Heads up! It is not good to lay this task on the directors. They are already working on overload by this time! |
