STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTABILITY

CONDUCT AND DRESS

The purpose of this camp is to provide a clean, wholesome and beneficial environment for all campers in which they can associate with the finest young people. (Eccl. 12:1; 1 Cor. 15:33)  All activities of the camp are designed to maintain a spiritual atmosphere according to the principles found in the Bible. (Matt. 6:33)

Each camper is required to follow the rules of the camp and to respect the instructions of the counselors. This is what your parents would want. (Eph. 6:1-3)

Apparel requirements.  Campers must wear modest apparel, which fashions them with "shamefacedness, sobriety, and godliness" (1st Tim. 2:9-10). For example: shorts must come to the knees (no spandex), and boys will be expected to wear shirts at all times.  No tank tops or midriffs (boys & girls). Your daily camp attire will be suitable for all camp activities, thus eliminating the necessity of frequent dress changes. Pants are recommended for forest activities.

There will be respectable interaction between boys and girls. Boy's are not allowed in girls’ cabins, and girls are not allowed in boys’ cabins.  Holding hands or body familiarity is not allowed. (2nd Tim. 2:22)  Each camper must stay with assigned group activities unless the Directors permit exceptions.  Wandering off into seclusion is not allowed.

No: smoking, drinking, or possession of alcoholic beverages, taking non-prescribed drugs (all medicines, prescription and non-prescription, will be turned in to the nurse), stealing, use of profanity, possession of weapons, explosives, or fireworks of any kind. (1st Cor. 6:19-20)  Abuse of the camp facilities or the property of others will not be tolerated. (Matt. 7:12)

STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTABILITY

(Included on "Registration" form)

I understand that camp can have certain inherent risks, that the mountain environment is different than the city, and that situations may arise that will be dealt with differently than in an urban area.  I understand that cell phones are not dependable at Sonlight's property nor within the surrounding mountains.  (Sonlight Camp has a conventional telephone)

I, the camper, will submit a camp health form prior to camp signed by a doctor or nurse practitioner, and parent or guardian.  I will fully disclose all health conditions which may affect my participation or behavior: i.e. physical, mental, and emotional conditions.  I agree to participate in camp within the limits noted on the health form by my parents or the medical staff.

I agree to act in a responsible way, respecting other people, as well as the camp property and facilities.  I understand that my participation in camp may be terminated if I act in a negative or threatening manner towards other people or the camp property or if I behave in a manner which endangers myself or others.  My parents or guardian will be responsible for transporting me away from camp if my participation is terminated.  I understand RMFFC reserves the right to reject registrations.

I will comply with the section called, "Conduct and Dress", contained in the attached brochure or website (www.RockyMountainCamp.com).

I give my permission for the photos taken of me participating in camp activities to be used for the promotional purpose of camp, Sonlight Christian Camp, and Rocky Mountain Friends of Florida College.
